Biography

The modern version of Asha Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan, a playback singer is best known for peppy and foot-tapping numbers. She has sung many such songs in Bollywood and has also recorded for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Gujarati films and is credited with over 2000 songs.

Chauhan began her career in singing at the age of four and was discovered by a local TV anchor. She came into limelight through a televised singing contest, Meri Awaz Suno. He won the contest and there was no stopping her from thereon. She also was a part of the singing show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, hosted by Sonu Nigam. Her first Hindi song was from the movie Shastra.

Ram Gopal Verma gave her the first big hit in her career, she sang the hit song, "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi" from the movie Mast. Since then she has always been the first choice for singing hard-hitting songs and dance numbers. She has been nominated for fourteen Filmfare Awards, winning it on three occasions. She has won two Star Screen Awards, two IIFA Awards and one Zee Cine Award.

Chauhan, who believes that she is "the most versatile singer today," attributes her success to her parents and Indian singer Sonu Nigam. She says she would want to do only one film sometime in her life, just to fulfill her dreams of seeing herself as actress.

Parents and Siblings

Delhi was the birth place of the famous singer Sunidhi Chauhan.
She was introduced to the music industry at a very young age by her father, who was a minor theatre personality. Suneha Chauhan is her younger sister.

Husband

Chauhan married director-choreographer Bobby Khan at the age of 18 in 2002. It happened after working for the music video “Pehla Nasha”. The marriage was reportedly a secret affair attended only by few very close friends.

Hitesh is a musician and the grand nephew of well known music director Sonik of the Sonik-Omi pair of the 60s and 70s. He is known for composing songs for films like ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’ and ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’.

The number of billionaires across the world has risen from 1,226 in 2012 to 1,426 this year, with the US topping the list with 442, followed by Asia-Pacific (386), Europe (366), the Americas (129) and the Middle East & Africa (103), according to Forbes magazine.


Carlos Slim Helu from Mexico is the richest man in the world, followed by Bill Gates, Amancio Ortega and Warren Buffett. Charles Koch, David Koch and Liliane Bettencourt and family making it to the top 10. Eike Batista, Stefan Persson and Karl Albrecht lost their positions in this list.
