In a recent study, researchers developed a brain stimulator that helps ease epilepsy patients' seizures. Epilepsy is a chronic neurological condition in which the nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing persistent seizures. The device senses irregular electrical activity in the brain and in response distributes electrical stimulation to bring the brain activity back its normal state before a seizure happens.
